About the Filmmaker.
Tyler Coe.
Tyler (he/him) is a writer and filmmaker with a passion for exploring masculinity, vulnerability, and healthy relationships on screen. His work often confronts harmful definitions of masculinity and replaces them with values like kindness, vulnerability, and the capacity to love and change for the better.
Drawing from his fears and insecurities, Tyler's characters often react irrationally to challenges in their lives, highlighting human behavior's complex and nuanced nature. He is committed to showcasing healthy growth in relationships both emotionally and physically.
Tyler's interest in storytelling began during his upbringing in the Bay Area, and he earned his BA in film production from CSU Sacramento before graduating with an MFA from Loyola Marymount University. He often uses unbalanced frames, high-contrast lighting, and warm, vibrant color palettes to communicate his themes and ideas visually.
